  • Which do I invest in? DTEGY or DTEGF
    Fri, 27 Jan 2012 18:48:08 GMT
Which do I invest in? In my TD Ameritrade account, the company is listed as both two different investments: DTEGF Common Stock listed on OTC Markets Group Inc - (DEUTSCHE TELEKOM ORD) (DEUTSCHE TELEKOM ADR REPSG 1 ORD) DTEGY Depositary Receipt listed on OTC Markets Group Inc International Premier QX Their stock prices are nearly identical. Which is better to invest in? Someone told me that it is the depository receipt would be preferable since the foreign shares are collateralized within a US Banking entity. Is that correct? Someone told me to invest in what is more liquid.

So can safely expect ~90cent (0.70euro*1.30) dividend payout this year then? That\'s a nice high yield of ~7.8% at today\'s close. Hmmn, I may just have to buy me some soon.

Go back and check the daily pricing action since the first week of December. That\'s when DTEGY was trading in the 12s . . . Since that time and throughout the dismissal process of the AT&T bid, DTEGY has been in low-ball accumulation mode . . . As evidenced by today\'s headlines -- and measured volley pricing -- DTEGY looks awesome.

  • T-Mobile what do you think the speed capped Full Monty plan from UK?
    Sat, 04 Feb 2012 17:13:10 GMT
Frankly, 1Mbps is good enough even with one laptop. IMO, I don\'t mind going for it if there\'s NO usage cap. Even with 1Mbps, I can get 100GB usage easily if I use it at home. http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/04/t...nty-speed-cap/
  • What exactly does the $3.99 PHP warranty cover? Tied to one phone only?
    Sat, 04 Feb 2012 15:35:09 GMT
I have the $3.99 PHP extended warranty on my line. What does it cover? Last phone used, one phone only, whatever phone I\'ve used on my account? I know it\'s malfunction only, I have no problem with that. I called to ask about exchanging my BlackBerry 9700 and the Indian rep said I haven\'t used it since October. Despite me being on it now, and having used it a couple days ago too - I figured maybe the system is slow to update. Then I chatted with CS and that girl said the PHP warranty is tied to my current phone (Radar 4G) and if I sell it, it will continue to be covered as it\'s tied to the phone and that I should remove the warranty if I sell my Radar because it will not cover any of my phones. Does anyone have actual experience with this? I don\'t usually keep phones longer than a year but there are a few phones I really like (like my BB 9700 and Galaxy S II) that I have kept or will probably end up keeping past their 12 month warranty, so I thought this plan would come in handy, but if I can\'t ever exchange anything then no sense I have it.

  • Frustrating New T-Mo Order Experience
    Fri, 03 Feb 2012 01:58:12 GMT
Needed another phone line and after lots of research, I decided on T-Mo since I can apply my Freelancers 10% discount. Called in to the special corporate number, talk to Debby in Idaho. I select the Unlimited Talk/Text plan for $59.99 and add the basic $10.00 data plan (wifi user here). She touts the "special deal..today only" free MyTouch 4G..ok, but that\'s what they have plastered all over their website for anyone..maybe everyone is special? I thought it was odd that she did not ask for my Freelancers Member ID number when I mentioned the 10% off savings..no problem she said. She ships next day air (I paid for this) and not 10 minutes after I hung up, I check my email to review the order..not pretty. She loaded me up on the right calling plan, but the data plan she picked was their "Unlimited - Ultra with Smartphone Mobile HotSpot Service" at $59.99. And to top it off, there is NO mention of the 10% discount which she said would show on the order detail if I would order now. Grrr. So they think I want a plan for $119.99 a month? Lol. As one who has been in sales all of my life and have done well, it ticks me off that she resorted to completely bashing the other carriers, promised me something she did not deliver, and then find out my Next Day Air shipment will not arrive until Monday. I received the shipping confirmation 6 hours after placing the order and was promised delivery tomorrow. So T-Mo, you lost a customer who had the planning to bring over 2 additional lines for my reps. I know the drill on sales..quota, quota, but in the end, you completely lost me.

  • Is it really fine to buy used Tmobile phones from deliquent accounts?
    Fri, 03 Feb 2012 00:36:23 GMT
Okay, Thought it was safe until doing some research and finding this great side. Here is the issue, My neighbor just claimed bankrupcy on Tmobile as well as his other creditors. He has went to Verizon before the BK so he now has 5 Smartphones. 3 Sensations and 2 Galaxy 2 units. He is selling them to neighbors with Tmobile. I am going to (or was) buying 2 of the Sensations for 100 bucks a piece. Great deal. I called Tmobile and was completely honest with them. I also walked into the tmobile corp store as well today. I got the same exact answer from both. I told them I am buying 2 phones that have a balance. I asked them if it was true I need only purchase an Activation kit with Sim card from them to activate these phones for me. There exact quote was," We do not EVER turn a phone off based on the phone. We turn off the Sim card only sir" Then I asked will I be safe. They both said that all I have to do is activate the new sim card on a a prepay or contract pay and the phone irregardless of its past will be activated. They said the only down side is I will have no insurance on them. So I bought the two activation kits today and am prepared to purchase the two phones tonight. Then I read a thread here saying Tmobile will block all phones that have been on bad accounts and therfore may block the IMEI (?) on the two phones based on what I found here? Why is Tmobile themselves not telling me this? Will they really block these phones with old balance. One of them has never been used as he upgraded and its still fresh in box. Is Tmobile lying to me? How are all the folks (some I am sure if not lots) with tmobile phones selling them on Craigslist and Ebay. Who is correct here? Am I safe to purchase these phones? Thanks so much Tod
  • TMobile Phones - Need feedback
    Fri, 03 Feb 2012 00:29:40 GMT
HI, I am looking to upgrade my phone with TMobile and was wondering if the folks here recommend a website to compare reviews and features of the phones. I am planning to get one of the following phones from costco. I have the price marked next to the phone. Samsung Galaxy S 4G - $0 Tmobile My Touch 4G - $0 HTC Sensation 4G - $130 Tmobile MyTouch Q - $30 Tmobile MyTouch 4G Slide - $130 Samsung Exhibit 4G Slide - $0 HTC Amaze 4G - $250 Samsung Exhibit II 4G - $30 LG Double Play - $70 Samsung Galaxy S II - $150 I need a decent phone that will last me 2 years of talking and surfing. Wifi calling would be a big bonus. I am not sure if going for a Android 2.3 phone over Android 2.2 will make a difference. Similarly, is a dual core processor really needed for casual phone use. I would appreciate if folks here could pick up a couple of good phones from this list. Also, are there any websites where I can find comprehensive reviews of the phones. Thanks

  • Please suggest a phone that gets SICK reception
    Thu, 02 Feb 2012 17:23:57 GMT
Hi everyone, I was hoping the experts here could offer some suggestions on a phone that has incredible reception I don\'t care much on features, or how old the phone is, but would like some sort of smart phone. I\'ve heard HTC phones, specifically the Sensation, has great reception. Hopefully you all can comment on that.
  • T-Mobile 3g/4g coverage expanding rapidly
    Thu, 02 Feb 2012 10:27:55 GMT
I posted this as a reply in the coverage section, but I wanted to see what you guys thought about T-Mobile\'s recent developments on coverage. First and foremost, coverage in some states has expanded a lot over the past 6 months, but there are 2 states in particular that I wanted to point out: Texas and Florida. Compare the image ja5219 took on January 10th, 2012 to the one I just pulled today (February 2nd, 2012). In just a few weeks, we see substantial improvement. Hopefully it\'s a sign of things to come. I-35 from the Red River to San Antonio is all 3g-4g. I-20 from almost Abilene straight through DFW to Arkansas on I-30 is all 3g-4g now. Eastern New Mexico (not pictured) just got a really large swathe of 3g. Dallas to Wichita Falls is completely 3g now. I-10 from Sealy (east of houston) through Louisiana is all 3g the whole way now. Expanded coverage on I-45 between Dallas and Houston, as well as south of Longview 3g Coverage for a very substantial length along highway 281 from San Antonio to highway 20. Looks like that area previously had no coverage at all (ie it\'s now 3g-only coverage) And more 3g coverage in the panhandle (including areas of more 3g-only service) Very nice to see T-Mobile improving 3g coverage rapidly. And now to see an interesting comparison of 3g in Florida. It kinda speaks for itself, but in case you don\'t know it\'s a comparison of coverage between ATT and TMO. ATT Key: TMO easily matches, and possibly bests ATT coverage in FL.
  • Very high latency with Galaxy Nexus
    Thu, 02 Feb 2012 02:50:55 GMT
I just switched from my Samsung Vibrant to the Galaxy Nexus. T-Mobile 3G has been really great on my Vibrant, so I was expecting at least equal performance on my Galaxy Nexus, but things are pretty bad. Using Speedtest I typically see 70-80ms Pings, 2 to 3Mbps Down, and 1 to 1.5Mbps Up. This is fairly consistent. My Galaxy Nexus, so far I\'m seeing 1600 to 1800ms Pings, 3 to 4Mbps Down, and 0.5 to 1Mbps Up. However sometimes my Down and Upload speeds are as low at 0.02Mbps. Sometimes I\'ll get a "decent" Ping of around 150-200ms range, but still much higher than my Vibrant. I\'m doing the test from the same location to the same servers, even swapping my SIM back and forth to do the tests about the same time. Vibrant continues to do well, but the Galaxy Nexus continues to do poorly. One thing of note, HSPA+ here doesn\'t appear to be good. I have CM7 on my Vibrant and I see my 3G and H indicators going back and forth constantly (being a 3G phone it didn\'t matter). And likewise I\'ll see my 3G and H indicators on my Galaxy Nexus also fluctuate back and forth during my tests. So I\'m wondering if my 3G and HSPA+ going back and forth a lot could be causing my really high latency and occasional very slow speeds. Can I disable HSPA+ if it\'s causing the problem (I\'m guessing no, but figured I\'d ask anyway)?
  • Alternatives to the LG G2x with longer battery life?
    Thu, 02 Feb 2012 02:10:05 GMT
Hey guys, Flashed and modded my G2x, only to discover that it\'s super super buggy. I\'m wondering if you guys can recommend me another smartphone that can run on T-Mobile\'s HSPA 21mbps network that doesn\'t have the bugs associated with this phone. One other phone that runs on a single-core proc but gets good battery life and great reviews seems to be the HTC Radar 4G. Could use advice.
  • T-Mobile Wiring calling
    Wed, 01 Feb 2012 23:42:57 GMT
Can someone explain how wiring calling works? Let say I go to my sister in laws house where there is no service and she has a secure wifi connection. Do I need her password? Is it similar to wifi on a smartphone where I have to tell the phone the password and it remembers it and will automatically connect everytime I get near that wifi? Or do you have to manually connect everytime? We are thinking of switching to T but have a few places we go a few weeks a year with no service. Sent from my SCH-I400 using HowardForums
  • How does a discount apply?
    Wed, 01 Feb 2012 21:01:08 GMT
Hi all, I\'ve been told that T-Mobile offers a discount to me because of my employer. I am wondering how this is applied. Does it apply to the whole bill? Just the line prices? Just the first line? For instance, I need two lines, so I want the family plan. I would either go with the $49.99/line value plan or $69.99/line classic plan. Would each line get 15% off? For the classic plan, would it be 15% off $49.99 and exclude the data fee? How does this work? Thanks!
